It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John Michael "Mike" Bullard of Memphis, Tennessee.

Born on August 26, 1949 to Mildred Lucille and John Wiley Bullard, Mike was the third of four siblings and the only boy. He graduated from Treadwell High School, where he met Glenda Lee Byrd Bullard, who would be the love of his life. After they married, Mike received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Memphis State University in 1975. He became an accomplished executive at several prominent corporations before co-founding Memphis-based Protech Services Group.

In retirement, Mike served on the board of his homeowners' association where he was known as the "keeper of the gates". Although he waged a painful battle with rheumatoid arthritis for the past decade, he was in constant motion and could fix anything. He loved cheering on the Tigers, Grizzlies and Titans, and always made time to watch golf and Jeopardy. His most important role, however, was loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and helpful friend.

Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife, Glenda, his daughter, Michelle Bullard Chatfield, son, John Michael Bullard, Jr. and wife Kimberly, sisters Sandi Childress and JoAnne Reinhardt, his beloved grandchildren, Audrey Lynn Chatfield, McKenna Leigh Bullard, and Leia Rose Bullard, a large and caring extended family, and many cherished friends, neighbors and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Edith Terry.

Mike's family will receive friends on October 18, 2024 for visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, with memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Mike's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Rheumatology Research Foundation.
