Miles Ford Smith, 72, of Memphis, TN died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Memphis Veterans Hospital. He was a U.S. Navy Master Chief Ret. He is survived by three brothers, William A. Smith and John Smith both of Memphis, TN and Robert W. Smith of Covington, TN; many nieces, nephews and other family members. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert C. and Marie E. Smith, Sr.; sister, Clara Gorman and brothers, Herbert C. Smith, Jr. and Frank L. Smith. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Services will be at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the funeral home with interment in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
