Millard Charles Smith, 83, from Southaven, MS, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2017. He passed away from heart failure at Baptist Desoto Hospital. Charles was born in Memphis, TN, June 29, 1934. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from TVA, Memphis, TN after 37 years of service. Charles was a member of Horn Lake Assembly of God Church in Horn Lake, MS. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Baker Smith; one daughter Sherri Smith Harris (Joe); three grand daughters, one grandson and eight great grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his son, Millard Charles Smith II. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Forest Hill South. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30th, at Horn Lake Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
