Millie Sue Barnett, age 98, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 6, 1927, in Blue Springs, Mississippi, to Samuel and Lula Steele.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Millie Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, J.M. Barnett. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and family.

Millie Sue was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ and a faithful member of East Hill Baptist Church.

Her unwavering faith and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of strength, grace, and gentle wisdom, whose prayers and presence anchored generations.

She was also preceded in death by her five sisters and three brothers, whom she dearly loved.

Millie Sue leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through her children: Michael Barnett (Roberta) and Lisa Croom (Mark), as well as nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. While they will miss her deeply, they rejoice in the comfort of knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior.

A celebration of her life will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well lived and a soul well loved.
