Obituary

Millie Mae Hardy, 88, of Jackson, TN; formerly of Memphis, passed away after a brief battle with Leukemia on March 30, 2013. She was a retired Shelby County Schools bus driver, member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a former longtime very active member of Brunswick Baptist Church, who was a kind, considerate, caring woman. Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her loving husband, C.W. Hardy; son, Robert Hardy; brother, Robert Young; sister, Kitty Menietto; and twin brother, Billy Ray Young. She is survived by three children; Linda Kerley, Judy Bowen, Kent Hardy; nine grandchildren, Melissa Jackson, Mary Ahart, Carol Winborn, Jere Bown, Paul Bowen, Christopher Hardy, Timothy Bowen, Phillip Hardy, Mary Hardy; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah Reeves, David Jackson, and Hannah Winborn. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 1 and service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with burial following.
