Obituary

Milton Varn Greer, 82, passed away in Collierville, Tennessee, on June 27, 2019.  Milton served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.  He was posted in South Korea.  He was a retired union sheet metal worker, and an active member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Number 4, Memphis, Tennessee.  He served as the group's business agent before his retirement.

Milton was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Dixie Ann Greer; his parents, Varn and Nannie Greer; and brothers, Thomas Greer and Roger Greer.  He is survived by daughters, Victoria Myers of Helena, Alabama, and Carla Higgins of Germantown, Tennessee; his older sister, Jeanette McGee of Florence, Alabama; his son-in-law, Bo Higgins; and three grandsons, Shane Myers, Patrick Myers and Walker Higgins.

Milton was a devoted husband and father, who always put his family first.  He enjoyed bass fishing and working outside on his John Deere tractor.  He was fun-loving, and made many friends during his time at The Village at Germantown, where he lived until his move to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in early June.
