Minnie Ruth Talley, 92, of Nesbit, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 8:50 a.m., with her loving family by her side.  She was born on June 5, 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of William and Ethel Laughter.  She married the love of her life, Lloyd Talley, on June 29, 1946.  Ruth was a very intelligent, caring, loving, independent, hard-working woman, and drove a school bus for Desoto County until she retired at 83 years of age.  She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grand kids, family and friends.  Left to cherish her memory are her three sons:  Charles "aka Chick" (Beverly) Talley of Lake Cormorant, Rickey (Donna) Talley of Southaven, and Mickey (Melissa) Talley of Southaven.  She had been blessed with 37 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; a sister, Dot; three brothers:  Clayton, Bill and Sonny; and her parents, William and Ethel Laughter.  Visitation with her family will be held at Hinds Chapel United Methodist Church, 5105 Church Road, Lake Cormorant, MS on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from 10:00~11:00 a.m., with her funeral services following at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor David Huffman will officiate.  Interment will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Holmes Road.  901-382-1000
