Mitchell LaWayne Woods, Sr., 52, of Memphis, TN, was born September 18, 1963 and entered in God''s eternal rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Mitchell has worked all his life but if asked what he enjoyed most, it was his love of writing poetry and painting. He also enjoyed playing chest and on most weekends he''s under the hood of a car (mechanic by trade). He could fix almost anything around the house and if he didn''t know how he would figure it out. He was a thinker and a doer. Mitchell was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an active father and always ensured all of his children''s needs were met. Mitchell''s big smile and love for his family will be missed tremendously. He was preceded in death by his father E.Z. Woods, Sr. He is survived by his mother Ivory Woods; three sons, Mitchell "Lil Mitch" Woods, Jr., Malik Javonn Woods, Malaki Macon Woods; two brothers, E.Z. Woods, Jr., and Darren Woods, Sr.; nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium, 3788 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122 on Saturday, January 16th from 1-2 p.m. with funeral starting at 2 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to:
