Muriel Virginia Johns, 98, passed away on November 7, 2018 in Bartlett, TN just one day after her birthday.  Mrs. Johns had been a lifetime member of Southland Baptist Church and was a current member of Cherokee Baptist Church.  She had been retired from J.C. Penney, where she had worked for 25 years.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Elbert T. Johns.  Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Carolyn De Long (Don) and Gail Outland of Memphis, TN.  She has been blessed with three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Mrs. Johns loved to cook and read her most loved book, The Bible.  Visitation with her family will be Monday, November 12, 2018 from 12:00-1:00 p.m., with her services following at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road.  (901-382-1000)
