Myrtie Cowens Busby, 93, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 6 at Forest Hill Midtown with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery. Mrs. Busby is preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Cowens and Ed Busby. She leaves her son, Jerry Cowens and daughter-in-law, Anne of Southaven; one brother, Howard York of West Memphis, AR; one granddaughter, Angie Holm (Brenhan) of Southaven; four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Deaven and Meghan Holm and Christian Maness; and also one great-great granddaughter, Baliegh Grace.
