Nadean Kamerman Thaxton, 91, left her earthly home to be with the Lord the evening of July 4, 2014. She was born August 8, 1922 in Corning, Arkansas to John and Clara Kamerman. She lived her life with love and kindness as a constant witness for the Lord she loved. Nadean was a member of Berclair Baptist Church for 63 years where she served the Lord with glad devotion. When health limitations prevented her from active church service she continued to serve in her heart as a gentle blessing to all who knew her and had the privilege of experiencing her unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hardy Nash Thaxton; brothers, Warren Kamerman, Richard Kamerman, Jay Kamerman; and sister, Louise Garner. She is survived by one brother, Lyndon Kamerman (Joanne) of Corning, Arkansas. Mrs.Thaxton was the mother of four children: Linda Bratton of Lexington, KY, Mary Hamilton (Eddie) of Louisville, KY, Bobby Thaxton (Sherrie) and Joanne Reynolds of Memphis, TN. She leaves grandchildren: Leslie Hamilton Spivak (Mark), Bobby Hamilton (Jacqui), all of Louisville, KY, and Carter Bratton of Cincinnati, OH. Also, three great-grandchildren: Grant Hamilton, Nicholas and Alex Spivak, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. For those of us remaining words cannot express our sorrow and feeling of loss, but we have peace and comfort of knowing she was welcomed with singing and rejoicing into the arms of the Lord. Visitation will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 9 until service begins at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
