NANCY PHARR, age 83, of Bartlett, TN, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, due to an illness. The daughter of Audie and Bonnie Rutherford, she was born April 27, 1929 in Allsboro, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Rutherford, Alfred Rutherford and Donald Rutherford, and sisters, Doris Rutherford and Willadean Barnoski. She leaves behind her sisters, Jackie Champion (husband, Leonard) and Buntye Smith (husband, Lawrence). Married January 29, 1950, she is survived by her loving husband, Thomas "Tom" Pharr. Together they raised three children, Janis McIntyre-Chumney (husband, Robert), James "Butch" Pharr (wife, Liz Anne), and Joseph "Joe" Pharr (wife, Debbie). She was "Granny" to seven grandchildren, Jason McIntyre (wife, Kim), Tara Graham (husband, Matt), Bryan Pharr, Carrie Hormann (husband, Cory), Randal Pharr, Nathan Pharr and Nicholas Pharr. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Makenzie McIntyre, Riley McIntyre, Zachary Graham, Dylan Graham and Brady Pharr. She retired from General Motors after 32 years of service as Office Manager for A/C Delco. As a working mother, she always found time for her children. After her retirement "Granny" and "Papa''s" home was always open to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank the members for the friendship and support shown to Nancy and Tom. Also, the family wishes to thank the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett. The care and compassion shown by all who worked there is gratefully acknowledged. Visitation for Nancy will be at Forest Hill East, Whitten Road, Wednesday, February 6 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Forest Hill East, Whitten Road, February 7 at 10 a.m. Interment will be immediately after the funeral service at Forest Hill.
