Nancy Ann French, of Memphis, TN went to be with our Lord on August 17th, 2023, following a short illness. She was born on January 21, 1938, in Calhoun City,Mississippi. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Seth Thomas French, lll (Tommy) and is also survived by eight children: Vicki French, Sherri Backus (Tim), Wendi Maxey (David), Tami Stavropoulos (Mike), Teri Johnson (Jackie), Staci Littlejohn
(Jeff), Seth T. French, IV, (Viktoria), and Juli Noles (Mike). She also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Hawkins Scott, her brother Larry Scott and her daughter Lori "T" Anne French.

She lived a very active lifestyle. Raising her nine children kept Nancy very busy. She and Tommy loved to bowl and were part of bowling leagues when they were younger and often with the kids sitting nearby. She worked for Federated Department Stores for many years, first at Goldsmith's Department Store at the Raleigh Springs Mall, and then for Macy's at the Oak Court and the Wolfchase Mall locations. She also loved to travel. After retiring and moving to East Tennessee, she and Tommy joined a travel club and have been all over the US and the world with their travel adventures.

She had a love for animals, particularly for her cat Tinker until it passed away and her dog Precious, whom she would ask about until her last days. She also had such a love for family gatherings where all her children and their families would meet to celebrate major holidays, birthdays, and family reunions. It is fitting that one of her last family outings just a few weeks ago was at a restaurant celebrating Tommy's birthday.

The funeral will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home on Whitten Road in Bartlett, TN on August 24, 2023 at 2p.m., with visitation from 1-2 o'clock. Instead of flowers, those that wish may donate to the National Kidney foundation (https://support.kidney.org) in her honor.
