Nathan Claud Acree

Nathan Claud Acree passed away on October 29, 2016 at the age of 92 years. He was born June 18, 1924 in Thayer, MO to Fred and Della Acree. He was a member of New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, retired from Bell South, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the Band and Athletic Boosters Club of Messick High School. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sara F. Scrivener Acree; four children, Stuart F. Acree, Claudia F. Acree Ungren, Jerry Acree and Hardwick Acree. He is survived by one brother, Frank Acree of Belen, NM. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 12-2 pm, with funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00 pm, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park Midtown, 1661 S. Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
