Nell Margaret Autry, 84, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013. She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. In 1988 she earned a Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree from Memphis State University. She retired after 47 years, working as a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner for the Shelby County Health Department. In 1991 Mrs. Autry was recognized as one of the top ten nurses in the state of Tennessee. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Eldon Autry; 3 children, Mark, Matt and Andy; and 2 grandchildren, Josh and Bryce. Nell and Eldon were charter memebers of St. Louis Catholic Church and School. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 3 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Service will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church November 4 at 10 a.m. with burial following in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
