Norene Pigott King, 97, passed away on March 19 in Blue Springs Mississippi.  She was born on February 21, 1925 at home in Walthall County, MS to William Otho Pigott and Rosa Smith Pigott.

Norene grew up in Walthall, MS. After graduating high school she worked as an phone operator among other jobs.  She worked for Lehman-Roberts Construction Company as an executive secretary about 30 years. She also was a successful Mary Kay representative.

Norene married Charles in 1950 in New Orleans, LA. They were happily married for 72 years. Norene was an avid bowler and for over 40 years traveled the country participating in numerous tournaments and receiving various awards.

Norene is survived by her nephews and nieces: Lonnie Pigott (Debbie), Wayne Pigott (Jan), Terry Pigott (Sherry), Cheryl Pigott, Bobbi Duncan, Buddy Duncan (Pam), George Duncan (Carman), Bill Pigott (Doris), Paulette Stogner (Shelton), and Mary Anne Moore (Tim).

Norene was preceded in death by 18 days by her husband Charles and her parents William & Rosa Pigott; brothers Buford Pigott, Hilmer Pigott, Loy Pigott, and sisters Wessie Pigott and Elrene Pigott Duncan.

A burial service will be at Forrest Hill South at a date that has not been set at this time.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.
