Norma Kay Hood died suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Medical City Denton in Denton, TX.  She was 78.  Mrs. Hood was born in Guys, TN on August 9, 1940.  Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by both parents, Dorothy and Johnny Smith; sister, Brenda Skinner; and her daughter's father, Cornish Moore Jr.  Mrs. Hood leaves behind her loving husband, William Hood of Paris, TX; daughter, Cindy Higginbotham and husband David of San Saba TX; Terri Wilson and companion Tina Galan of Forney TX; grandson, Chad West; and great-grandsons, Greyson West of Arlington TX, Joseph Gomez of Dallas TX, Jake Gomez and wife Charlley of Rowlett, TX, as well as many extended family members.  Mrs Hood's sweet, loving personality and giving nature will be missed by all family and friends who were blessed to have known her.  Mrs Hood will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 12 at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Cemetery and Memorial Park, South. 901-382-1000
