Opal Faye White's Obituary
Opal Faye White, 97, passed away peacefully at 2:30 pm on July 22, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1924 in Bloomingrove, TX. She grew up in Corsicana, TX and later settled in Whitehaven TN in 1958.
Mother had a competitive spirit. "NO" was not part of her vocabulary. She enjoyed making ceramics and began playing golf after she retired from a successful career at Sears. Mother played golf until she was 92 to take care of her husband. Mother will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Reese (C.R.) White; sister, Hazel Ruth Herrin; brother Douglas Hill, sons; Robert William Follis, and Vernon Dale Follis and grandson, Michael Wayne Follis.
Survivors include, her son, James Douglas Follis, Sr and wife, Francis, and daughter, Linda Follis Smith; 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
