Owen B. Taylor, age 87, of Collierville, TN passed away November 27, 2021 at Baptist East Hospital due to severe pancreatitis.

Owen was proceeded in death by his siblings and his daughter Rhonda. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Sue Frances of 63 years, his son's Barry (Lisa) and Johnny (Marilyn), six grandchildren; Natalie (Chris), Brianna (Brandon), Lauren, Rachel, Abby, and Hailey, and 7 great grandchildren.

Owen left his birth home of Savannah, TN at the young age of 15 years and went to work for Curtis Candy Co. in Chicago. Not long after, Owen moved to Memphis, TN to join one of his brothers and eventually meet and marry Sue Frances. He worked for the Core of Engineers before starting his career as a firefighter, eventually becoming a Lieutenant before retiring after 32 years. While working full time as a firefighter, Owen started a family painting business, eventually passing it down to his son Barry. His solid work ethic provided a blessed life, including a home on the Little Red River where the family spent many weekends water skiing and fishing.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 9:00a.m., funeral services will start at 10:00a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. Entombment will follow Forest Hill Funeral Home Mausoleum.
