Pansy Skinner McKnight
, 85, of Memphis, went to be with the lord peacefully at her home after a battle with heart disease and kidney failure on July 15, 2018.
Pansy was born in Ripley, TN the daughter of the late Carl and Vivian (Vowel) Skinner and she is preceded in death by her husband, H.H. McKnight. She was a longtime member of Graham Heights Baptist Church and retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company. She then went on to retire from the Tennessee State Department and went on to work at Sam's Club until she was 79 years old. In later years, she was cared for by her sisters Barbara and Shirley and loving neice Sherry Hudson and Alan.
Pansy is survived by: brother John Milton (Betty) Skinner of Boyce, LA, sisters; Shirley (William) Dunavant of Collinsville, MS, Barbara Hudson of Holly Springs, MS and Delene (Loy) Hopper of Monroe, MI, nieces; Sherry, Debbie, and Carolyn; nephews, Johnny, Clif, Brian, Chad and Gary. She also will be sorely missed by her extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 20, 2018 from 12pm to 2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – East, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN. A committal service will follow at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – South, 2545 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis, TN 38118
