IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Booth
July 22, 1941 – April 22, 2025
Patricia "Pat" Ann Booth July 22, 1941 – April 22, 2025
Patricia "Pat" Ann Booth, a lifelong resident of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at Bolivar Christian Care Center, at the age of 83.
Pat lived a vibrant and accomplished life. A trailblazer in women's sports, she made history as the first woman to win Women's Bowling Nationals — an achievement that cemented her legacy and brought pride to the city she dearly loved. In recognition of her impact and service to the community, she was honored with two keys to the City of Memphis.
Her professional journey was just as inspiring. Pat retired in 2012 as the General Manager of the food division at the Memphis Zoo, where she was known for her dedication, strong leadership, and kindness to colleagues and visitors alike.
Outside of her work and accolades, Pat found joy in life's simple pleasures — bowling with friends, making casino trips with her sister, and spending time with her beloved family. With a love of all sports she never missed a Memphis Tigers Game on TV, Tiger Woods playing golf, and many more. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and laughter will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Booth Sarratt (Bruce); her son, Perry Welch (Carrie); her three grandchildren, Nicholas Green (Katie), Brittany Veara (Joseph), and Maggie Welch; and three great-grandchildren, Connor Veara, Everett "Her Little Man" Veara, and Rex Green. In addition, she also raised five stepchildren and treated them all as her own. Her legacy of love, strength, and perseverance lives on in each of them.
A visitation will be held at Forrest Hill Funeral Home in Midtown on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Pat are welcome to come together to celebrate her remarkable life.
