Patricia Ann Chapman age 81, passed away surrounded by family just before sunrise on July 22, 2024. She was also affectionately known as Pat, Patsy Ann, Mom, and Granny.  Pat was born on November 3, 1942 in Memphis, TN to Wick Cooper and Mozella Cooper Richardson.

Her parents later divorced, and her mother married Leonard "Big Sam" Richardson who helped raise her.  She attended Kingsbury High School, where she met many of her life-long friends and husband of 63 years, Samuel M. Chapman. Later in life she took on the role of planning and organizing reunions and get togethers for the Kingsbury classes of 59' and 60'. She gave birth to two children Denise McClung (Derick) of Bartlett, TN and Kelly Brumley of Somerville, TN.

She was blessed with three grandchildren Zach McClung (Sierra) of Atoka, TN, Kate Brumley (Russell Wilson) of Somerville, TN, and Anna McClung (Nick Dibble) of Bartlett, TN who were the joy of her life. Attending volleyball and baseball games, trap shoots, horse shows and scouting events kept her busy as she and Sam never missed a one. She is survived by her two beloved sisters, Mettie Cooper of Memphis, TN and Donna Dickerson (Tony) of Hernando, MS.

She never met a stranger and her desire to help others was lifelong.

A visitation for Pat Chapman will be from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Rd with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm.
