Patricia Lee
Gardner
Oct 19, 1942 — Feb 8, 2021
Patricia Lee Hannah Gardner entered this world on October 19, 1942. She was the youngest of six children born to Robert and Vivian Hannah and the only one of their children born at home when they lived at 857 Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. She died suddenly on Monday, February 8, 2021, at the age of 78. She accepted Christ as a child, and after rededicating her life to the Lord, was baptized at Bellevue Baptist on October 27, 2013. She retired after various occupations throughout the years. Above all else, she enjoyed being a U.S. Navy wife, which led her family to live in National City, California, Great Lakes, Illinois, and Flint, Michigan, before returning to Memphis in 1979. Pat had a generous spirit and privately made contributions to numerous non-profits. She enjoyed traveling, watching Nascar and the Dallas Cowboys, and playing a serious game of cards with her sons and son-in-law. She cherished watching her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews having fun. Tricia loved music and was a huge fan of Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, The Statler Brothers, and Guy Penrod. She is preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, Christopher Jennings, her husband, Ray Gardner, two sisters Ola Maie Russell and Caroline Page, two brothers John Harvey Hannah and Edgar Dalton Hannah, and several beloved pets. Those left to cherish her memory include a sister and brother-in-law Jane and Travis Seaton; daughter Rita (Garry Lee) Hallum of Bartlett, TN; sons Robert Jennings, Randy Jennings, and Ron Jennings of Memphis, TN; Grandchildren Ashlie, Ryan, Brittany, and Miranda; ten great-grandchildren, and a host of special nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the public education or medical non-profit of your choice. Services and burial will be Friday, February 26, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Hill - East, with Minister Joe Jernigan officiating.
