NEWSOM, Patricia Ann, aged 73 of Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2021, with her family by her side. Born January 13, 1948, in McNairy County, TN, she was one of four siblings. She attended Freed-Hardeman University for two years before marrying the love of her life, Ronald K Newsom. Patricia was a long-standing member of Wells Station Baptist Church. She was a dedicated Secretary for the Memphis City Schools for 15 years. She was a member of Memphis District of The Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fanny Verneal & Willard Edward Smith and one brother, William Elzie Smith. She leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald Keith Newsom, her son, Ronald Aaron Newsom (Lauren) of Memphis, TN, two grandsons, Aaron Newsom of Memphis, TN and Luke Newsom of Eads, TN, and one granddaughter, Payton Newsom of Eads, TN. She leaves behind two brothers: Rick (Debbie) and Ray (Nancy), and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN on Monday, December 6 th with visitation from 12:30 pm – 2 pm and services to follow thereafter by Reverend Danny Berryhill. Interment will be at the Garden of Prayer.
