Patricia Ann Salmons, 94, passed from this life to her eternal home on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Baptist Hospice House in Collierville, TN with her daughter, Cheryl Chapman, by her side after a brief illness. She was born on October 1, 1931, in Gibson County Tennessee to the late Wylie Jackson Manus and Jennie Isabella (Hayes) Manus, the youngest of three children.

She would remember with fondness growing up on a farm and chopping cotton from daylight till dark. After high school graduation, she moved to Memphis to attend business school. She worked for many years as a secretary at Armco Steel Corporation where she met her future husband, Bill. They married and settled in South Memphis with her two daughters from a previous marriage. Patty loved to sew making quilts. She also loved crafting and oil painting on canvas. She produced many beautiful paintings coveted by her family. Later in her life she was active in Women's Ministry at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, TN where she volunteered in various capacities, her favorite of which was visiting beloved folks at area nursing homes. She was loved by many and will be remembered for her compassionate gift of service.

Patty is preceded in death by her husband, W. B. "Bill" Salmons and grandson, C. Heath Favazza.
