Horn Lake - Patricia Campbell Smith, 68 of Ladson, SC and previously of Horn Lake, MS, passed away unexpectedly in Charleston, SC on October 6, 2013. She lived in the Memphis, TN metropolitan area for most of her life and worked for over twenty-five years for Family Physicians Group. After retiring from the firm in 2007, she took a support position at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site on the Kwajalein Atoll of the Marshall Islands before retiring again to South Carolina in 2012. She was a member of both the Order of the Eastern Star and the Clan Campbell Society of North America. She was an avid life-long gardener, and was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Survivors include a husband of forty-one years, Ronald Mark Smith, sons Ronald Todd Smith and Mark Hugh Smith, daughter-in-law Kristie Kay Smith, grandsons Jacob Ronald Smith and Benjamin David Smith, sisters Nina Dixon, Carolyn Price and Kathaleen Raby, brothers Richard Campbell and Charles Campbell, and close family friend Oliver Manalac. She was preceded in death by her father, Erwin Richard Campbell, mother, Ruth Louise Evans Campbell, and brothers Rance Campbell and Carl Campbell. Visitation will be on Friday, October 11, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Forest Hill East Funeral Home at 2440 Whitten Road in Memphis. Funeral service and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the same location.
