On December 5, 2022, at the age of 84, Patsy Joan Young Montgomery ascended into heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Willie Bell Young, her brother Leland, her sister Sandra Day, and her loving husband, William Franklin. She leaves behind her two sons, William "Patrick" and Stephen Alec, her siblings Nita (Billy) Gullick, Billy, and Gloria (Ron) Rooney.

Patsy was a devout Christian and was very active in the Rosemark Baptist Church. She took great comfort in studying the Bible. For many years, she touched countless lives by teaching Sunday school and volunteering for Vacation Bible School.

From an early age, she developed a love of reading and was able to share this love with numerous children across the Mid-South. Along with her husband, Bill, they built a small business hosting book fairs at elementary schools in the tri-State area for almost twenty (20) years. After Bill passed away, she continued her service to children by working in the Millington school system until her retirement.
