Paul E. Efnor, 91, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born in Reasnor, Iowa, January 4, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1953, in WWII and the Korean War. During the War, he was stationed at Millington and attended First Methodist Church in Memphis where he met and married his wife. Together, they owned 2 electronics businesses in Memphis for 52 years: Paul''s Radio and TV and Anchor Electronics.
He was a 72-year member of First United Methodist Church in downtown Memphis. He was a Shriner, and a member of The National Electronics Service Dealers Association. His hobbies and talents included woodworking and a HAM Radio operator. He loved his family, his dogs, his church, and telling jokes.
He leaves his wife, Ruth, of 72 years; son Danny Efnor; daughter Karen Efnor Williams; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and friend and caregiver Pat Collins.
Visitation will be held at Forest Hill South Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 12:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the First United Methodist Church building fund in memoriam of Paul Efnor.
