Paul Daniel Fields, 67, of Memphis, formerly of Creve Coeur, Missouri passed away on December 6, 2017.

He was born in Memphis, TN to Betty Laughlin (Fields) Simmons and Claude Daniel Fields who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Central High School (Memphis) and University of Southern Mississippi. Major Fields retired from the US Air Force. He was a member of The 20 Plus Military Club, the Ohio State Guard and the St. Louis Blues Society. Mr. Fields is survived by his loving mother, Betty Jo Simmons; brother, Greg Simmons (Mary) of Millington, TN; sister Cynthia Fields Powers of Rossville, TN; sister Amy Simmons Dowdy (Dennis) of Memphis, TN; son Joel Daniel Fields (Heather) of Missouri, grandson Mason Daniel Fields of Missouri; nieces Victoria Dowdy, Natale Ryan and Chloe Simmons; and nephews, Danny Moeschle, Jeremiah Simmons, Matt Ryan, Ian Simmons and Chris Simmons, as well as many other friends and family who dearly loved him. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. , Monday, December 11, at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN). The service will follow at 2:00 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Internment will be at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Air Force Aid Society, the HART Fund (Blues Foundation) or a charity of your choice.
