On March 23, 1939, Pearlean Shaw was born to Johnie Tate and Roseanna Ross in Benton County, Mississippi.

She married the late Malcolm J.  Shaw and their lives were enhanced by five children, Shirley, Sylvia, Marvin, Sean, and John.  She spent the rest of her days with Purdy L.  Lemon.

In 1996, she left Philadelphia and moved her family to Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jeanie Shaw and Barbara Jean Edgeston.

She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life and legacy, Purdy L.  Lemon, Tate brothers and sisters, five children, Shirley A. Fairy (Carl), Sylvia D.  Shaw (Samuel), Marvin J.  Shaw (Brenda), Sean J.  Shaw, and John A.  Shaw (Marchell), sixteen grandchildren, Carl G.  Fairy, Jr., Alexis J.  Vaughn (Will), Sherrod R.  Barton (Lacey), Malcolm N.  Barton, Johnathan Shaw (Jessica), John A.  Shaw, Jr.,  JadeLynn I.  Shaw, Jasmine A.  Shaw, Tatianna P.  Shaw, Jaylen D.  Fisher, Jaleyah Shaw, Johnyea L.  Shaw, Marvin J.  Shaw, Jr., Jamyrah Shaw, Jakyrah Shaw, and Jacie Shaw, thirteen great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
