Peggy H. Banks, 71, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Milan, TN. She was born in Memphis, TN on July 21, 1952, to parents John Hood and Nora Carter. After graduating from Bartlett High School, she began working as a driver license examiner. Peggy became supervisor and worked there for over 20 years until she retired. On April 7, 1972, Peggy married the love of her life Gary T. Banks and from that union a beautiful daughter was created. Peggy loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, and enjoying classic car finds with her husband. She is preceded in death by her parents: Nora and John, as well as her two sisters Sandra Harvey and Janice Morrissett. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 51 years, Gary T. Banks, her daughter Tracy Baugh (Matt), 3 grandchildren: Madison, Dylan, and Taylor Baugh, her stepfather Roy E. Carter, 3 step siblings: Tricey Lavender (Mike), Debbie Long, and Rusty Carter (Alana), as well as her brother-in-law Keith Banks. Peggy will forever be in our hearts, and we will miss her beyond words. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
