Obituary

Peggy Sue Gains Rush, 92, was born in Trimble, Tennessee in 1927.

Her father passed away when she was 2 years old. Her mother remarried to a share-cropper. Peggy worked in the fields chopping and picking cotton. She was raised in a family of eight children.

She married the charming, George Rush in 1946. She excelled in an office career, becoming assistant plant manager of Ivers & Ponds piano manufacturers. She was the most intelligent and loving woman, I have been graced to know. After 10 years of battling Alzheimer's, she passed peacefully at Kings Daughters & Sons home. She leaves behind her two beloved sons, David and Phil Rush, also one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Rush; four grandchildren, Brandon Rush, Kelly Roberson, Jarred Rush, and Ian Rush and wife, Frankie and two great- grandchildren, Azzlee and Arwren. Her life was difficult from the start. Peggy's heart was enormous, her will very strong, her faith endless, her sweet sense of humor, graciousness, loving, forgiving, guiding nature. She is at peace with her God, with her savior!

But Damn, I will miss her.
