Peggy Sue Herman, 89, beloved mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Peggy was born in Middleton, Tennessee in 1933 to Leonard and Mary Wadkins.  She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Shelvy Coats, and husband James Franklin Herman.  Peggy is survived by her daughters Debra Hutchens (James) and Charlotte Gardner (Brad) and three grandchildren.

Peggy was a strong Christian whose faith was obvious in all she did.  She was a charter member of Covenant Baptist Church in Collierville and spent many years as a children's Bible teacher.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  Peggy's gentle spirit, contagious smile, and loving personality will be missed by all.

Proverbs 31: 28-29 - Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.  "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Services for Peggy Herman will be Monday, January 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 at Forest Hill East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN. 38133.
