Peggy Louise Knight passed away peacefully at her home along the White River in Moutain View, Arkansas on April 27, 2023. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on June 14, 1944, to her father, D.C. Kolwyck and mother, Edna Genelle Kolwyck, Peggy is best known for loving her family and spending hours cooking. With a love for baking, Peggy spent hours in the kitchen each holiday making cakes for family, friends and even her doctors.

Peggy began working when she was only 14. She spent 45 years in the grocery business as a meat cutter and then a deli manager. After more than four decades, she and the love of her life, Jimmy Knight, retired to the Ozarks in northern Arkansas. The two of them spent their retirement fishing along the river and enjoying time with family. They both shared a love for the outdoors.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy Knight, her daughter, Edna Dee Diana and son, Steven Ray Knight. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Irvin, Kelley Martin, Scott Knight and Jimmy Knight, her sister Patsy White and brothers, D.C. Kolwyck and Johnny Kolwyck.

Peggy and Jimmy helped raise two grandchildren, Shelby and Michael, after moving to Mountain View. She also had 12 more grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and Max, her dog.

After Jimmy passed away, Peggy found the most joy in cooking pancakes for Xander and welcoming all her other loved ones with open arms. Max kept her on her toes as a rowdy little puppy who she loved.

The family will welcome friends and those who knew and loved Peggy on Monday, May, 1, 2023 from 5-7P and services to honor her on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10A at Forrest Hill East in Memphis, Tennessee.
