Peggy Joy Middlebrook, 79, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2017 after a long illness. She was born on February 26, 1938 in Noxapater, MS, to Herman Leon and Frances Smith Johnson. She and her husband, Rev. J.D. Middlebrook, pastored Raleigh Assembly of God Church in Memphis, TN for 35 years. Their great love for people also led them around the world teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Cindy Middlebrook Snyder and Christi Middlebrook Jones; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Rev. J.D. Middlebrook. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East. Funeral services for Mrs. Middlebrook will be held at 10:00 Friday, November 17, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church, 8650 Walnut Grove Road, 38018. Interment will be private.
