Born June 16, 1992 Memphis, TN
Died July 17, 2015 Nashville, TN

Peter Montana Billings was a kid from Memphis who wanted to live an epic life, so he did. His story began on June 16th, 1992 in Memphis, TN. Montana was a lover of life, a lover of God, a lover of music, and a lover of people. At the age of 17, Montana, along with his family, moved to Nashville. Soon after, he began his career in the Christian Music industry. Montana traveled the world and created thousands of friends along the way. He toured with several well known artists, bands, and organizations. He went to places like Canada, Russia, Europe, Alaska, New York, L.A., and, yes, he went to Billings, Montana. One show that he was particularly proud to be apart of was when he was touring with the Getty''s and they played at Carnegie Hall. Montana also had roles in multiple music videos and is credited with being a part of multiple music albums. He took part in organizations like Compassion International and Camp Electric.

Montana, known as "Monty" by his friends, loved being outdoors. He recently spent much of his time on Percy Priest Lake, kayaking and doing other water sports with friends. He was a member of the Meat Eater''s club, just to solidify his manliness. He loved going to movies, walking around Nashville hotspots, and going to Sounds and Predators games. He was a Godly man who had a great relationship with the Lord. He was a hilarious soul that never had trouble lighting up every room he walked into. His heart was as beautiful as his smile. His laugh was as comforting as his giant teddy bear hugs. He was a friend to all. Whether you knew Montana for 10 minutes or 10 years, you loved him. More importantly, he loved you. He always had so much love to give.

On July 17, 2015, our Lord Jesus decided that it was time to bring Montana home. He died at Southern Hills Hospital, surrounded by dozens of family and friends. Montana leaves behind his parents, Bobby and Renee Billings, 4 siblings, Elliott Billings, Jessica Markley, Steele Billings, and Sam Billings, a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Billings, brother-in-law, Bill Markley, three Grandmothers, Rema Nance, Peggy Coletta, and JoAnn Billings, a Grandfather, Bob Billings, a nephew, William Markley, girlfriend, Courtney Hunt, dozens of Aunts/Uncles/Cousins, at least a million Friends, and one nephew/niece on the way.

Montana''s final words were in a text message to his mother that he never got the chance to send. They said, "Don''t worry. I''m listening to music." He believed that through music, one''s life could be changed forever. We are all witnesses to the fact that through the life of Montana Billings, thousands of lives have been and will continue to be changed forever. Montana was an organ donor; his heart and liver went on to save the lives of two men in Virginia and Tennessee, and other organs have been donated for research to save more lives. Montana was a real life hero. His heart beats on. His legacy will live on forever.

A service will be held to celebrate Montana''s life at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 25th at Bellevue Baptist Church with a visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Bellevue Baptist Church is located at 2000 Appling Road in Cordova, TN 38018.
