Philip Edward Jones, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 04, 2025. He was born on July 28,1947 in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Ed and Sarah Jones.

Phil served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was a lifelong Memphis Tigers fan, an avid reader and Sudoku player. He loved traveling the world with his beloved best friend and wife, Barbara.

Phil is preceded in death by his loving brother, Brent Jones of Memphis, Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Liz Tate.

Phil leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Sue Jones; daughters, Natalie (Scott) Applewhite of Memphis, Tennessee, Priscilla (Burton) Morrison of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sarah (Ira) Wigley of Memphis, Tennessee; Grandchildren Reuben Applewhite of Memphis, Tennessee, Lois Applewhite of Memphis, Tennessee, Philip Wigley of Memphis, Tennessee, and Andrew Wigley of Memphis, Tennessee; Sister-in-law, Carol Adams; and Brothers-in-law George (Anita) Adams, John Adams, and Charles (Janet) Adams.
