Southaven - Philip "Jason" Davis, "JD" 33 of Southaven passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014. He was born on June 18, 1980 to Mitzi and Philip Davis. He graduated from Horn Lake High School in 1998, where he played football and baseball. Jason also loved Memphis basketball and he was a human sports almanac. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mitzi Lee Mitchell and his sister, April Michelle Davis. He leaves his grandparents: Harry and Hulda Shaw and Carol Mitchell; his son, Jeremiah Davis, his brother and family: Shane, Sandy, Peyton and Patience Davis; his father, Philip Davis; step-parents and family: Tom and Kim Mitchell, Madison and Tyler Lannon; his uncles, Butch, Howard, Bob (Cheryl), Doug (Jodi) Shaw, Lane Tompkins (Cathy); also 14 cousins. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10 at Forest Hill South with visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations are made to: St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
