Phillip R. Mansell, 73, of Nesbit, MS peacefully passed away at his home on October 12, 2023.  Phil was born to parents, Winford and Nell Mansell, on May 29, 1950, in Tupelo, MS.  Phil graduated from Oakhaven High School in 1969 and worked as a computer analyst for Methodist Hospitals for 46 years.
He married Linda, the love of his life, in 1971, who survives him.  Phil is also survived by his children: daughter Christy Mansell, son Matt Mansell (Stacy), grandchildren: Ethan, Cooper, Mazie Joy and Myla, sisters: Sherryl Ray, Misty (Dr. Gary) Taylor, Lynn Mansell, sister-in-law Karen (Gary) Brumbelow, and his mother-in-law Ruth Lovelace.  Phil was preceded in death by his parents Winford and Nell Mansell.
His life was a wonderful testament of his strong faith and love for his family and friends.  Phil was known for his larger-than-life personality, tall tales and love of fishing.  He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them more than anything else.  Phil was often found on the sidelines supporting and "coaching" his grandchildren in all their activities.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.   The visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11:30am at First Baptist Church Horn Lake, 3505 Goodman Road, Horn Lake, MS 38637 with services to follow.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
