Phyllis Berry, 82, of Collierville, TN died on April 26, 2018.  She went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.  She was born on March 27, 1936, in Columbia, SC, to the late James and Bonnie Mitchell.

A member of Covenant Baptist Church, Phyllis was a beloved teacher and homemaker. She was also a member of the Collierville Women's Club.  Phyllis was a fun loving person who loved to sing, and loved children.  She had a tremendous gift of hospitality, and brought great joy to her family and friends.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 60 years, Aaron Berry; two daughters, Cindy Pedigo and Renita Berry; a son, Joel Berry; two brothers, Jimmy Mitchell, and David Mitchell; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Pedigo, Austin Berry, and Tyler Berry.  She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Berry.

Visitation for Mrs. Berry will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Monday, April 30, 2018.  All services are entrusted to Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN, 38133.  Those wishing to make a charitable donation in her name are asked to give to the Baptist Mid- Missions Foundation, P.O.
