Phyllis Jean Farris, 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

Mrs. Farris was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Southaven, MS. She retired from McNeil Corporation.

She leaves her husband, James W. Farris of Horn Lake, MS; five daughters, Lisa Rhea of Horn Lake, Betty Crowder of Southaven, MS, Barbara Greer of Nashville, TN, Susan Ray of Southaven, MS and Cathy Lorch of Higdon, AR; three sons, Lee Mitchell of Prescott, AZ, James Farris, Jr. Brighton, TN and David Farris of Somerville, TN; five sisters, Ruby Mays of Benton, AR,  Edie Kingston of Gulfport, MS, Dorothy Taylor of Kingston, NC, Lynda Johnson of New Albany, MS, and Peggy Waterson of Mt. Juliet, TN; two brothers, Gerald Farris and Ray Farris both of Nashville, TN; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and  many other children whose lives she touched. She left behind a legacy of love and acceptance of others that was undeniable. She was a bright light and safe-haven for so many. She will always be our sunshine.
