Phyllis Ann Freeman, 79, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Wednesday March 15, 2023 peacefully with family at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS after a short battle with Lung Cancer.

Phyllis was born on December 2 7 , 19 43 to Evelyn and Hugh Gordon Williams in Memphis, TN. She considered Olive Branch home after moving there from Memphis .

She enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, doing crafts, cooking, making Christmas goodies, shopping and spending time with her sweet dog Maxx. She was independent, capable, energetic and was always dressed stylish.

In August of 1987 , she married the love of her life, Charles Freeman . They spent happy years together until his death May of 1994.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Mullins, stepfather Albert J. Mullins "Pops", father Hugh Gordon Williams, sisters Sandra Joyce and Rebecca Sue Williams, brother Hugh Williams, husband Charles Freeman and the father of her children Eugene E Haley.

She is survived by her three children, Gene A Haley of Olive Branch MS, Becky Cates (David) of Pontotoc MS and Glen Haley (Ginger) of Olive Branch MS. S ister Debbie Jones of Raleigh NC. Grandchildren James Lowe (Kacye), Brandon Haley (Alex), Josh Livesay (Koake), Chris Haley (Holli) , Tyler Haley (Madison) and Madison Haley (Todd). Six greatgrandchildren Shayne, Haley Grace, Braylynn, Max, Rowan and Joann. Aunts JoEtta Williams, Gloria Biffle and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews .
