Phyllis M. Peppers (Jones), 61 years of age, passed from this life on March 30, 2019 at the Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Phyllis was born on March 4, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois; however, she lived mostly in the Memphis and Shelby Forest area. Phyllis is survived by her mother, Hazel Stoots Jones of Brownsville, Tennessee; one son, Joseph Lee (Sara) Peppers of Brighton, Tennessee; and three grandchildren: Katlyn, Jessica and Jase Peppers; one sister, Deborah Jones Wyatt (John) of Munford, Tennessee; her life-long friend, Nancy James of Chattanooga, Tennessee; former husband, Rickey Peppers, I of Brighton, Tennessee, one niece, Erica Jones; one great nephew, Landon Jones; and one great niece, Alexis Jones. She was preceded in death by her son, Rickey Dean Peppers, II of Shelby Forest, Tennessee; sister, Glynda Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, father, Fred Grady Jones of Brownsville Tennessee; paternal grandparents, Victor and Cora Jones of Brownsville, Tennessee; and her maternal grandparents, Roger and Edith Stoots of Brownsville, Tennessee. Phyllis was a hard working person, known for her love of family. She offered kindness to people and animals on a regular basis. She was an extremely giving person, who was overjoyed with the recent announcement of anther granddaughter to be born very soon. She will be missed! The family has requested that you join them for visitation on Friday, April 5, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East; 2440 Whitten Road; Memphis, Tennessee
