September 21, 1931 – March 23, 2024
Quincy H. Karnes Jr., age 92, passed away on March 23, 2024, at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. He was a retired Government Inspector and had worked many years until his retirement, he also was a United States Navy Veteran. Quincy loved his family, his greatest enjoyment came from time spent with family and friends as well as watching Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Quincy Karnes Sr. and Minnie Karnes, as well as his wife of 53 years, Rebecca S. Karnes, his son, Raymond (Shot) Culver, Jr; granddaughter, Stacey Huddleston, grandson, Jack Boyd Culver; and his sisters, Barbara Killeen and Betty Castle.
He is survived by:
His daughters: Patricia Glover (Herbert) of Bartlett, TN and Peggy Briggs (Bill) of Ramer, TN.
His son: Kenneth Culver (Jan) of Oakland, TN.
13 grandchildren: Ray Culver, III (Lauren), Sherri Conway (Bobby), Chris Culver, Wyatt Culver (Melissa), Boyd Culver (Lauren), Abbey Myrick (Mickey), Brian Culver (Beth), Erika Grammer (Thomas), Tim Culver, Whitney Crowder (Bubba), Angela Williams (John), William Briggs, and Taylor Briggs (Kate).
35 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren and
A sister Margaret Crawford, of Fl as well as his wife's loving niece, Mattie Pack, who served him faithfully after his wife's death.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choosing.
