R.V. Peppers, 74, of Memphis, TN, passed away on July 3, 2013 at his home. He was born in 1938. Mr. Peppers is retired from International Union of Elevator Constructors Local #30 with 29 years of service in 1989. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and Champion Fish cooker. Mr. Peppers is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence Hartwick Peppers; six children, Marilyn Ladner, Rickey Peppers, Douglas Peppers, Vickie Martin, Robert Peppers, Roger Peppers; brother, Junior Pepper; sisters, Maedreau Staggs, Glenda Boese; 8 grandchildren, Carolyn Manning, Joey Peppers, Chris Martin, Carla Watts, Jon Peppers, Brandon, Peppers, Courtney Peppers, Alex Peppers; and 9 great grandchildren, Mykayla Manning, Cedrick Minor, Semia Minor, Melvin Lewis, Julius Lewis, Katlyn Peppers, Jessica Peppers, Riley Martin, and Paige Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Rossie Peppers; grandson, Rickey Dean Peppers; and his siblings, Orela Thompson, Arnie Peppers, Willie Peppers, Curtis Peppers, Lonie Peppers, J.C. Peppers, Brenda Nicholas. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with graveside service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
