Rachel Ann Johnson Hodge went to her heavenly home on September 12, 2021. She was born in Hornsby, TN to James Edward and Bertha Boatman Johnson on August 15, 1935. She graduated from Central High School in Bolivar, TN in 1953 and from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 with an R.N. degree. she was a homemaker and worked at Methodist Hospital. She loved to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always wanted the family to spend time together as much as possible.

She was a member of Germantown Baptist Church, taught in the 4-year old Preschool Sunday school, active member of Billy Lamb Sunday School class, sang in the Hallelujah Chorus and served in the Nursing Home ministry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James (Jim), her parents, four sisters, and two brothers (Lee Edward and James). She leaves behind her sons: Jon (Linda) Hodge, James and Peter (Lisa) Hodge and her daughter, Suzy (Mark) Beal; She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; Jacob (Callie) Hodge, Joseph Hodge, Jill Hodge, Daniel (Amber) Beal, Brianna (Adam) Carlton, Betsy (Antonio) Threatt, David (Kalia) Hodge, Michael Hodge (Lauren Wyszynksi), Ethan Hodge and Connor Hodge, She also leaves behind 17 great-grandchildren plus one due in April.

Funeral services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - East on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Visitation will be at 2:00 to 3:00 PM with Funeral services starting at 3:00 PM.
