Rachel Powell born in Bethel Springs, TN on April 12, 1933 to James Monroe Laughlin and Cynthia Pearl Lain Laughlin died Tues day, May 31, 2022 at her home in Arlington, TN. She married William (Bill) Bowen on October 22, 1954 and had four daughters ; Catherine Carter, Cheryl Flinn, Toni Ray, and Pamela Williams. After the death of Bill in 2007, she married Wayne Powell in 2009. She has seven grandchildren ; Christopher Waits, Jonathan Waits, Cynthia Waits Dugger , Joshua Ray, Ethan Flinn, Jennifer Flinn Riales , and Connor Flinn . She also has four great grandchildren ; Charlotte Waits, Juliana Waits, Gemma Dugger , and Owen Riales . She was one of ten children and is survived by her sister, Thelma Bell. She was a warrior for Jesus her entire life and, along with Bill, led her children to know Jesus as their savior. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church Bartlett for many years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. The grief of her family's loss can only be surpassed by the joy in heaven as she was greeted by her savior.
