Ray Durward Camp of Gulfport, MS, was born in Friendship, TN on December 2, 1924 to William Luther and Adele McAlister Camp who precede him in death. He passed away on July 9, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Ray was a 20 year Retired CPO Navy Veteran having served in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was also a Postal Carrier for 27 years after the military service and retired from the USPS. Mr. Camp is also preceded in death by his loving wife of over 54 years, June Winchester Camp; son, Don Camp; sisters, Katheryn Burke, Dorothy Wilson and Frances Buchanan; brothers, Billy, Jack and Weldon Camp. He is survived by his two daughters, Lindy Hannah and Janet Drummond (Larry); three brothers, Otha, Gene and Joe Camp; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 12 - 2 PM with funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00 PM, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Bartlett Woods Church of Christ or to the charity of your choice.
