Raychelle Stephens Eaton was born November 4, 1916 in Colbert County, Alabama. She died July 15, 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Eaton was a resident at Kirby Pines Estates. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She attended Freed-Hardeman College and she was a graduate of Memphis State University. She worked as an elementary school teacher and a social worker with the Tennessee Department of Human Services. Mrs. Eaton was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Haughty Russell Stephens; her husband of 60 years, Earl F. Eaton; her daughter, Beverly Ann Eaton; two sisters, Ruth Stephens Wade and Jeannette Stephens Wade. She is survived by three children, Nancy Eaton Ross and husband, Larry of Hickory Valley, Tennessee, Ken Eaton and wife, Maryann O'Beirne of Brattleboro, Vermont, and Kathy Eaton Robison and husband, David of Searcy, Arkansas; one brother, Duard Stephens of Illionis; and five grandchildren, Jenny McDougal, Matthew Robison, Hannah Robison, John Mark Robison, and Mavis O'Beirne Eaton. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces. Mrs. Eaton was a devout Christian and a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a woman of quiet dignity and strength. She will be greatly missed and her legacy will always be remember and appreciated. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 until service begins at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home.
