Rebecca S Karnes, age 93, passed away on April 20, 2022, at Rainbow Rehab and  Healthcare in Bartlett, Tennessee. She was a member of Independent  Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. She was retired from Security Signals and  had worked for many years on Saturdays as "the popcorn lady" at the Bank of  Bartlett. Prior to her illness her greatest enjoyment came from time spent with  family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Roy Thomas and Mary Elizabeth  Stovall; her son, Raymond (Shot) Culver, Jr; granddaughter, Stacey Huddleston,  grandson, Jack Boyd Culver; and her sisters, Doris Milton and Ruth Stovall.

She is survived by:

Her husband of more than 53 years, Quincy H Karnes of Rosemark, TN Her daughters: Patricia Glover (Herbert) of Bartlett, TN and Peggy Briggs (Bill) of  Ramer, TN

Her son: Kenneth Culver (Jan) of Oakland, TN

13 grandchildren: Ray Culver, III (Lauren), Sherri Conway (Bobby), Chris Culver,  Wyatt Culver (Melissa), Boyd Culver (Lauren), Abbey Myrick (Mickey), Brian Culver  (Beth), Erika Grammer (Thomas), Tim Culver (Amy), Whitney Crowder (Bubba),  Angela Williams (John), William Briggs, and Taylor Briggs.

34 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren

Her nephew Emerson Brown, and her devoted and loving niece, Mattie Pack, who  served her faithfully during her illness.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral  Home on Whitten Rd in Memphis, TN, with her son, Dr. Kenneth Culver,  officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:00 at Forest Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be following the services at the cemetery behind the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the  donor's choice.
